How to play · deterrence, custody & victory
- Issue two orders, then end the season. Your rivals revise their nuclear posture and every bloc pays its plutonium custody bills.
- Offer a nuclear umbrella: an alliance backed by a pledge to protect another country. Or seize nuclear assets by occupying that country, inheriting its plutonium custody and resistance costs.
- Deterrent strength is a game score combining plutonium reserves and defenses, with smaller contributions from allies. It is not a warhead count.
- Nuclear security funds physical protection and material accountancy: guarding and keeping track of plutonium. This raises secure-storage capacity; it does not add deterrent strength or remove inventory.
- Control at least seven countries and lead in deterrent strength for two consecutive nuclear posture reports, within twelve political seasons.
- Nuclear tension at 100 or two consecutive settlements below zero credits ends your administration. Arms-control talks, industrial income and nuclear security can buy breathing room.
